Cluny Farm seeks to appoint a General Manager, to be based in Midrand, Johannesburg.
The remuneration for this position will be in the order of R40 000 per month, plus some benefits.
The purpose of the General Manager is to oversee the entire centre, and is accountable for the care of residents, the farm facilities, revenue generation and cost management, as well as relationships with the Board and external stakeholders. responsible for the continual development of the organisation, overseeing the care of residents, motivating and managing the team of staff, and overseeing the facility.

Requirements:
- Strong administration and managerial skills including financial management (oversight of FM, make decisions on cost/benefit trade-offs, ensure long-term sustainability of centre)
- Planning and organisational skills
- Ability to form meaningful relationships with a diverse group of staff, residents, families, board members, etc
- Ability to develop and improve and oversee work functions and processes (resident care, farm management, revenue generation, etc.)
- Ability to delegate and to motivate
- Ability to communicate effectively through writing and speaking
- Openness to listen and to learn from others
- Energy and an interest in people
- Driver’s licence
- Previous experience with social work / medical care is of interest but not essential
- Experience with dealing with government on grants, regulations, etc. would be a plus
