Summary

The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work with our Security team and be responsible for various Security projects to mature and inform security and privacy capabilities, to inform best practices for Security team and cross team projects. To help build workflows and team health initiatives and to support the intake and prioritization of inbound work to the security team. Socialize efforts of the Security team to the broader organization.

You are responsible for:

  • Leading project planning, scheduling, and resourcing for the Security team
  • Ensuring work quality and delivery for agreed upon timelines for each project
  • Having the ability to interpret needs and requirements, translate concepts into practice, identify process improvement opportunities, quantify results, and make recommendations to the Security Managers / Director
  • Coordinating meetings, briefings, and activities across teams and the Foundation

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience successfully leading and executing complex projects at a remote organization
  • The ability to effectively communicate and manage engineering project tasks
  • The ability to default to action, make decisions and be accountable for them
  • Experience working across multiple time zones and with multiple teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
