Overview
Econo Foods Lesotho is a local company, with branches in Maseru and Maputsoe, operating in the retail services sector. In particular, the company specializes in sales of red meat, fish, chicken, processed meats, dairy products, spices, and herbs.
General Job Purpose
The incumbent shall be responsible for all Econo Foods stores in Lesotho. S/he will look after product display strategies, pricing strategies, general employee welfare, and provide strategic advice to management with regards to growth opportunities for the company within the country.
Main duties and Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement retail strategies to increase consumer basket, feet, and overall sales of the company
- Manage operating expenses of all the stores; overtime, PPE, maintenance, etc.
- Champion the consumer experience journey of Econo Foods and build repeat business
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
- Research, identify, and act on new potential customers and market opportunities
- Liaise with marketing and sourcing to ensure brand consistency across the region
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics and share insights to guide the management decision-making process
- Develop and manage retail budgets in line with finance provisions
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5years at a management and similar role
- Bachelors degree in Marketing/Supply Chain Management/Operations Management
