Head of Banking Operations Division: Ref: HBOD

Under the management of the Director of Operations Department, ensure that the Central Bank of Lesotho’s banking operations are delivered on time and meet the set quality standards.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Supervision of the Division on daily basis to ensure that the operations of the Division run efficiently and effectively.

The candidate will be required to:

  • Direct, supervise and develop subordinate staff by initiating training programs, to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the Division;
  • Initiate or recommend development and improvements of operational policies;
  • Supervision of clearing house services to commercial banks;
  • Management of participation in the Real Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) on behalf of the Bank and the Government;
  • Maintenance and servicing of customer accounts (e.g. Government; commercial banks; para-statal
    organisations and international agencies);
  • Banking Operation administrative and operational tasks’ management pertaining to the divisions
    functions.

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or Equivalent;
  • Or CA or CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
    Plus
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in banking or related field, three (3) years of which at managerial level
