Partners In Health- Lesotho is looking for a competent candidate to fill in the following position (s):
Title: Mental Health Data Clerk
Reports to: M & E Manager & Mental Health Manager
Duty Station: Botsabelo MDR-TB Hospital, Lepereng ,Maseru
Position Overview
Implement all protocols, policies, and procedures under Many Voices grants. This includes timely reporting, data verification, consolidation and analysis using but not limited to: DHIS2, Microsoft applications (especially Excel, Commcare and other specialized data management, reporting and visualization applications. This also includes supervision of all PIHL sites implementing Many Voices grants at different implementing areas such as Rural Initiative, MDR-TB & Ministry of Health supported mental observation and treatment unit in Berea hospital respectively.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure availability of mental health registers, mental health screening tools and monthly reports to ease data collection.
- Orientate newly recruited nurses on data documentation and enforce standardized documentation for all implementing personnel.
- Train data collectors to capture data using Commcare and retrieve data for visualization in the DHIS2.
- Work closely with the staff generating mental health value chain indicators at Rural Initiative Sites, MDR-TB Hospital and PIH supported mental health observation and treatment unit.
- To review and update the Many Voices dashboard.
- Coordinate monthly reports capturing using available softwares (DHIS2, Commcare & Excel).
- Verify and aggregate all the Mental Health reports before submission to the M & E manager and mental health manager.
- To participate in PIHL mental health program operational planning and be able to set program targets and key performance indicators for identified activities.
- Be able to analyze data using softwares that are currently in use (DHIS2, Commcare & Excel)
- * Give data feedback, work with mental health team to review and to continually strategize on best ways to improve sites’ performance.
- Ability to produce Many Voices reports on monthly and quarterly basis
- Ability join biweekly mental health cross-site calls and mental health learning collaborative calls to give updates on data related achievements, challenges and a way forward.
- Assist M & E office with other activities from time to time
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management or any related field, Bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage.
- At least two years’ experience in health information system, data management, studies or research or Health sector experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally within culturally diverse settings.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
