Turnkey Civil Lesotho invites suitably qualified, competent, self-driven and results orientated candidates to apply for the following vacant positions based at Liqhobong Mine Site.
POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER
PURPOSE /JOB DESCRIPTION:
• To manage mining operations, mining project team and mining fleet.
• To provide leadership to the team to meet the project’s objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Production planning and scheduling.
• Operations planning and Scheduling
• Consultation with client on contractual matters
• Audit all safety and production reports.
• Plan, implement and monitor production and cycle times.
• Plan plant utilisation and consumptions.
• Report on production variances, reasons thereof and recovery plans.
• Communicate with the client to determine mining requirements as per short term plans.
• Ensure that all safety standards are adhered to during the operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Mining qualification
• Competent A
• Blasting certificate.
• 8 years at senior management level.
• Experience in a mining industry on drilling, blasting and load and haul operations.
• Management credential.
• Experienced operator trainer on earthmoving and drilling equipment.
• Experience in open pit management as well as drill and blast operations.
• Mining contract management
• Valid driver’s licence
SKILLS AND LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Understanding of key compliance issues in accordance with corporate governance principles.
• Coaching, leadership, and managerial skills.
• Quality orientation.
• Problem solving and analysis skills.
