PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure on site by maintain the flow and drainage of water and wastewater by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Certificate in Plumbing
- 3 Years’ Experience in the mining industry
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Maintain infrastructure and buildings
- Inspect all buildings and facilities for needed services and repairs
- Maintain doors, windows, furniture and other items
- Maintain buildings interior and exterior
Construction
- Frame buildings including potable and wastewater reticulation
- Connects water lines
- Fits sanitary fittings
Plumbing
- Design, build and repair required items
- Operate and maintain and plumbing tools
Administration
- Keep daily log tasks
- Prepare preventive maintenance schedule
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of building Maintenance
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand power tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety and all other safety related procedures
- Knowledge of plumbing pipes, portable water, and wastewater
- Knowledge of other materials and their application
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and blueprints
- Not afraid of working at heights
- Physical stamina, strength, and manual dexterity
