Partners In Health- Lesotho (PIHL) is looking for a competent candidate to fill in the following position (s):
Position Title: Oncology Program Coordinator
Reporting to: PIHL Deputy Executive Director
Location: Senkatana, Lepereng Maseru
Summary
The oncology program coordinator is responsible for effective implementation of program management activities by performing administrative duties that contribute to enhancing effectiveness and quality. This position will have an active role working collaboratively in Senkatana Oncology and Palliative Care clinics and with MOH and PIH Lesotho staff as well as the US based oncology team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Liaise between oncology clinic staff, relevant Partners In Health staff and US oncology team
- Work with oncology team to establish efficient workflows and systems for optimal patient care
- Aid clinical staff with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes
- Coordinate staff schedules as needed
- Work collaboratively with others to arrange visit logistics for international visitors including accommodations, transportation, medical licenses, and itineraries
- Assist in tracking, analysis, and reporting of clinic metrics and quality indicators
- Assist with budget administration
- Assist with the implementation of quality improvement initiatives
- Make recommendations for program or process improvements
- Promote oncology within the organization
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in health care administration with demonstrated ability to lead and complete projects and tasks
- MPH or MBA highly preferred
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent organizational skills
- Maintains a professional and respectful demeanor
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Commitment to social justice and health equity
- May require some work to be performed outside normal business hours to meet deadlines or support programmatic goals
