Overview:
Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Lesotho. The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Lesotho (BCMCFL), is the result of a public-private partnership between Baylor College of Medicine International Pediatric AIDS Initiative and the Government of Lesotho, and is a legal, non-profit/tax exempt organization registered in Lesotho. BCMCFL provides free pediatric and family
centered HIV and tuberculosis prevention, care, treatment and support, serving thousands of children and families affected by HIV, TB, or other child health conditions.
BCMCFL is looking for highly qualified candidate to fill in the following positions of Project Accountant on a full time, fixed term contract basis under PROTECT project.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement financial policies and procedures.
- Capture all financial transactions relating to PROTECT, PINCH into the accounting system.
- Review all Global Fund purchase requests for accuracy ad budget availability.
- Review all Purchase Orders relating to PROTECT, PINCH for accuracy and budget availability.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for PROTECT, PINCH and liaise with projects coordinator to track expenditure.
- Prepare and reconcile a Fund Accountability Statement.
- Receive all PROTECT, PINCH payments from procurement office for completeness and further processing.
- Support BCMCFL participation in external audits.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports for PROTECT, PINCH accounts and ensure timely submission of such reports.
- Manage Balance sheet accounts for PROTECT, PINCH projects.
- Effectively manage Cashflow and submit funding requests timely.
- Support Finance year processes to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Provide Capacity building for non-Finance staff.
- Provide any other support as required by the Foundation.
- Perform any other duties that are assigned by the Administration
Educational Qualifications, Work Experience and Key Competencies
- First degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant Management field, advance degree preferred;
- 2-3 years progressive complex accounting and financial management experience;
- Proven ability to work both independently and as an effective team member;
- Experience and knowledge of managing Global Fund projects;
- Working knowledge of SAP accounting software desirable;
- Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple on-going assignments;
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, particularly Excel;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent time management;
- Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.
