We have an outstanding opportunity for an Adviser, Infrastructure and Architecture in the IT Services section of our Corporate Business Directorate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an excellent level of 3rd line support and advisory services to the Commonwealth Secretariat, giving support across the whole of business in Front and Back office functions. The post holder will also have oversight of the development and implementation of an Enterprise Architecture, including translating corporate strategy into implementable IT actions; and the configuration, deployment, maintenance and monitoring of cloud and on premise platforms. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: monitoring the Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment with the IT Strategy and the overall corporate strategy; undertaking Root Cause Analysis and identifying trends in technical architecture issues; contributing to the budgeting and planning for IT technical architectural requirements under the Head of IT; and undertaking Infrastructure Capacity Planning.
To be considered, you will need to have a Degree in IT or related discipline, certification in Enterprise Architect, certification in Network/ Infrastructure Management and Prince2 foundation certified. You will also need at least 5 years’ experience of managing a small team and 7 years of appropriate experience supporting IT infrastructure, preferably with a medium size organisation.
