Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions tenable in the Ministry of Health.
JOB TITLE: CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER
GRADE: G
NO. OF POSITION: TWO (2)
RESPONSIBLE TO: FACILITY MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY
- Assist the Facility Manager in carrying out the programme of building and engineering maintenance and improvements.
- Ensure that the hospitals receive a satisfactory service and prompt attention to emergency work.
- Promote energy conservation programs throughout the hospital. Ensure that records are kept and analyzed to ensure efficient use of energy.
- Ensure compliance with all building and engineering regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Attend meetings with the Equipment Specialist and/or the Architect to provide advice on budgeting.
- Overall supervision and guidance of central and regional technicians country wide.
- Make regular inspections of the estate to ensure the programme of maintenance is being carried out in an effective and efficient manner.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a hospital environment.
OR
Education: A Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Experience: At least 5 years’ experience working in a hospital environment.
