Director of Facilities Management and Protective Services: Ref: DFMPS

The Director is responsible for the supervision of all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, etc.) and external contractors to preserve the good condition of the Bank’s infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Providing technical and strategic leadership to ensure that the Department implements key Security objectives.
  • Overseeing all aspects of building functions and assuring the safety and functionality of all facilities.
  • Managing the Department’s budget and controlling operational expenses by focusing on cost reduction and efficiency.

The Candidate will be required to:

  • Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures
  • Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements
  • Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments
  • Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors
  • Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
  • Collaborate with department managers to determine security needs
  • Gather security intelligence and implement preventative measures
  • Develop security procedures, protocols, and policies
  • Present security improvement strategies to the executive committee

All candidates wishing to apply should have the above-stated behavioral competencies and any of the following minimum qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in any of the following: Business Administration, Security, Criminal Justice, Electrical,
    Mechanical, Project Management, Construction Engineering or any related field.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant working experience, of which five (5) are at the senior managerial level.
  • A relevant course in strategic management will be an added advantage.
