Background:
The Ministry of Health (MOH) will be receiving funding from the Global Fund to support the implementation of TB and HIV programmes. The main goal of the grant is sustaining gains made in HIV treatment and improving the quality of the programme, accelerating HIV prevention, addressing human rights barriers to assessing services, strengthening health and community systems to improve HIV, TB and SRH outcomes, scaling up the MDR -TB care and prevention and PLHIV given co-infection. To enable MOH Global Fund supported activities effectively, workforce is required to fill posts on fixed contract until 31st March 2027.

District Logistics Coordinator for Mokhotlong District

  • Manage the Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) at the health facilities (H/Fs) and ensure accurate and timely data collection and data entry from all H/Fs.
  • Provide ongoing training to H/Fs’ staff responsible for supply chain management in the use of stock cards and other inventory management tools, reporting and proper storage and stock rotation.
  • Assist in the analysis of monthly stock reports from H/Fs; develop and implement the monthly distribution plan for all commodities.
  • Assist in the development of quarterly LMIS reports.
  • Ensure the maintenance of stock movement records in the H/Fs’ store, including orders due, quantity delivered, balances due, and quantity dispatched.
  • Plan for the distribution of all health commodities to all H/Fs.
  • Ensure that all incoming and outgoing supplies at H/Fs are accounted for and managed properly.
  • Ensure availability of data for demand planning, forecasting, and budgeting at district level for all health commodities.
  • Verify data and correct data where necessary.
  • Ascertain that all aspects of logistic teams within the districts such as LMIS, distribution, storage and inventory management are working in sync with each other.
  • Coordinate quantifi cation activities within the districts and ensure timely submission.
  • Ensure functionality of district supply chain technical working group
  • Prepare routine reports on safety disposal of health commodities wastage and submit to District Health Manager and Logistics Manager.

Required Qualification
Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or Pharmacy / Laboratory

Required Experience

  • 3 years working experience in logistics.
  • Knowledge of Lesotho health logistics process.
  • Knowledge of the inventory audit process.
  • Training in Supply Chain management in basic principles.
