JOB TITLE: EVENTS MANAGER- MALIBA LODGE
SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE:
Our Lodge looking for a self-motivated Events Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone with a passion for working with Guest and at least 2-5 years’ experience in events management, an eye for aesthetics and detail, and who has an in-depth understanding of the workings of a hotel events management department. The successful candidate will work closely with the Lodge’s various departmental heads like Housekeeping, Front of house, Kitchen, events to ensure that guest experience is seamless and memorable.
REQUIREMENTS AND QAULIFICATIONS
- A tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Business management or any other relevant fi eld.
- Signifi cant work experience handling and coordinating events responsibilities, preferably in a hotel Banqueting setting.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Offi ce Suite and all other relevant computer programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- A proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise.
- Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure.
- Strong administrative skills.
SUMMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for supporting the communications, marketing and events functions of the Lodge.
- Take the lead in the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external events.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of event materials and services.
- Coordinate social media calendar and content for the platforms working together with marketing.
