Reports to : Project Manager (Direct); Construction Manager (Functional)
Location: JNB / Northern Cape / Eastern Cape
Contract type: TES / Agency contract
Contract duration: Duration of project (18 months)
Main Purpose of Job:
- To supervise and control Electrical (discipline specific) construction execution at Project Site(s) in a manner that meets Global, Location and customer contractual requirements.
- To maintain collaborative and close work relationships with the multi-disciplinary Project Site Teams in carrying out the business objectives of the Worley Construction Unit in a cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
- Ensure Safety and Environmental Compliance Management requirements are met.
- Perform Discipline Specific Construction & Installation Management.
- Undertake Schedule Management.
- Integrate Compliance (SHERQ): Risk and Quality Management in construction works.
- Perform Site Administration Duties
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Skills/ Competencies:
- Computer Literacy i.e. MS Office including MS Projects.
- Code 08 driver’s license.
- Appropriate formal Safety qualification in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Appropriate Environmental training.
- Understanding of Quality Assurance principles and ability to implement/ ensure compliance.
- Understanding of employment law: The Labour Relations Act and the Basic Conditions of Employment Act in particular.
- Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a site supervisor (Electrical) on a Renewable Energy project site, specifically wind and solar farms
- Electrical installation project environment experience advantageous.
Special Conditions Attached to the Job:
- Must be prepared to work on sites away from home office on a permanent basis.
- Flexibility to travel and / operate from anywhere continentally / internationally.
