JOB ADVERT: Human Resources Officer, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Roma

To help maintain this establishment’s track record of good service, the Institution seeks to recruit a Human Resource Officer, who under the supervision of the Hospital Administrator, will be responsible for the daily management and administration of all Human Resources functions as well as developing and ensuring effective and sound human resource plans and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION
Responsible for hiring processes, advertising, interviews, and on boarding of new employees in liaison with the relevant department heads.

2. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT NEEDS OF THE INSTITUTION
Develops training programs to help employees improve their skills and advance in their careers.

3. EMPLOYEE BENEFITS AND PAYROLL MANAGEMENT
Manage employee salaries, and retirement plans and determine salary reviews.

4. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Conducts performance appraisals, oversees performance reviews, and develops strategies to improve employee performance.

5. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive work environment, positive workplace culture, and enhance employee engagement and productivity.

6. UPDATES ON HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION AND RECORDS.
Updates human resource data and personnel records and establishes data input and storage on all human resource functions

7. COMPLIANCE WITH EMPLOYMENT LAWS
Ensures the organization adheres to labour laws and regulations as well as organizational policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must retain a degree in Human Resource Management/ Public Administration/ Industrial Psychology or any related discipline.

CANDIDATE SHOULD:

• Possess 5 years working experience in the Human Resources Office
• Retain objectivity and critical thinking skills
• Leadership and coordination ability
• Conflict resolution abilities
• knowledge of Labour Law and employee relations issues
• Knowledge of payroll will be an added advantage
