As part of the 20th Treviso Comic Book Festival edition (TCBF 2023), Associazione Fumetti in Treviso announces the International Contest for New Comic Authors 2023.
This year’s theme is Light Things.
The contest addresses all beginner comic authors of legal age who want to test their skills and try to create a comic story. It is possible to participate both alone or as a group of artists. Each participant (or group of participants) is required to submit a comic story about this year’s theme Stories and characters in the submitted comic story can be both fictional or based on real people and events.
Participants have full artistic freedom in the interpretation of the theme as well as in the choice of drawing techniques and colouring styles. The submitted artwork can be black and white or in color.
There is no entry fee.
Eligibility
Open worldwide to comic authors aged 18 and over.
Prize
Three main prizes will be awarded in 2023. 500 EUR are reserved for the First prize, 300 EUR for the Second prize, and 200 EUR for the Third prize.
