Background:
The Ministry of Health (MOH) will be receiving funding from the Global Fund to support the implementation of TB and HIV programmes. The main goal of the grant is sustaining gains made in HIV treatment and improving the quality of the programme, accelerating HIV prevention, addressing human rights barriers to assessing services, strengthening health and community systems to improve HIV, TB and SRH outcomes, scaling up the MDR -TB care and prevention and PLHIV given co-infection. To enable MOH Global Fund supported activities effectively, workforce is required to fill posts on fixed contract until 31st March 2027.

Laboratory Technologist

    • Implementation of safety precautions
    • Daily prepares disinfectants according to the sops
    • Daily cleans and disinfects working environment.
    • Always dispose off completed samples according to the guidelines
    • Samples reception
    • Daily receives samples and matches them with request forms
    • Always rejects unsuitable samples according to specimen quality manual guidelines.
    • Documents reasons for specimen rejection
    • Analysis of samples
    • Daily runs internal quality controls as per quality guidelines
    • Daily analyses samples as per protocols
    • reporting of results & records keeping
    • Daily submits results to senior laboratory technologist for verification
    • Daily files records

    Required Qualification
    Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science/Biomedical Technology

    Required Experience
    2 years working experience in Laboratory.
    Exposure in TB Testing and Quality Assurance related Lab activities
