- The Logistics team is based in Tikoe Industrial Area, Maseru, Lesotho. Our responsibility is to ensure the undisrupted supply of materials with the correct quantities and packaging to production. Providing our support and interaction with the other departments in the company as well as verifying the accuracy of reports and master data to ensure the optimization of our system and functions. Managing and co-ordianting the supply of the final product to the Customer.
- As the local team, we have full intergration to the regional SAF Adient structure with most support functions leadership based in South Africa.

What will your responsibilities be?
- Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
- Plans, directs, monitors materials planning, inventory control, storage, shipping, and receiving activities so that the organization has access to the inputs, materials, goods, and services it needs for current and future operations.
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers.
- Set up and standardize KANBAN.
- Optimize quantities, design and costs of containers and organize repair.
- Optimize quantities of incoming goods.
- Reduce stock levels and introduce new concepts.
- Cost controlling and regular reporting of inventory value and risks.
- Monitor and optimize processes for incoming goods.
- Participation in regional cost saving projects.
- Control of delivery conditions, processes, and packaging optimization.
- Application of safety standards.
- Supervision of delivery shipment and receipt dates to ensure on time deliveries.
- Planning and performing of release coordination and analysis, breakpoint control and part change support to avoid obsolete material.
- Personnel management of direct reports and plant logistics team members.
Apply, execute, and maintain all functions related to BOS requirements.
Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?
- University degree in Logistics/Economics or degree in Engineering plus economic background
- At least 5 years managerial experience in the areas of materials management and inventory control preferably in manufacturing, automotive industry or related.
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literacy including High Level of Excel Skills
- Own transport and valid drivers license
- Computer literacy including High level of excel skills.
Mandatory Skills and Knowledge:
- Supply chain relations in automotive industry or similar.
- Material management, handling and transportation
- Supply management concepts and practices
- QAD knowledge
