Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions tenable in the Ministry of Health.
JOB TITLE: NETWORK & SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR
GRADE: H
RESPONSIBLE TO: ICT INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY
Network & Security Administrator is responsible for the design and implementation of network security solutions in an organization.
MAIN DUTIES
- Control user access to the LAN and ICT Resources like Network printers etc. at the Ministry
- Analyse and implement new security protocols for greater efficiency against any threat or malfunctions
- Manage and maintain LAN and WAN systems in accordance with industry standards.
- Coordinate acquisition and use of appropriate technologies to support
Ministry/institution programme needs - Monitor the use of internal data and voice communication facilities (equipment and software)
- Propose. specify and implement improvements of the network facilities
JOB SPECIFICATION
Master’s Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science and must have a minimum of two (2) years working experience as System Support Officer.
OR
Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science and must have a minimum of four (4) years working experience at the level of Systems Support Officer
Certifications in ICT Networks or related field from a recognized
University/Institution is an added advantage.
