JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of Organizational Development Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for reorganization and restructuring in the Ministries, preparation of work plans and supervision of staff.
MAIN DUTIES
- TO REORGANIZE AND RESTRUCTURE
1.1. Conducts management audit and strategic planning consultancy studies in order to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
1.2. Prepares management audit and strategic planning reports after each consultancy in order to increase efficiency and ensure optimal deployment of staff.
1.3. Presents management audit and strategic planning reports after each consultancy to client ministries/departments in order to agree on recommendations.
1.4 Monitors implementation of recommendations after each consultancy to ensure performance improvement in the client Ministries/Departments. - TO SUPERVISE AND MANAGE STAFF
2.1 Supervises and guides the Assistant OD Officers on the operations to ensure that divisional objectives are met.
2.2 Reports all activities of the Assistant OD Officers on a quarterly basis to the OD Manager in order to assess progress.
2.3 Conducts staff appraisal, under your supervision, on half yearly in order to assess performance and productivity. - TO PREPARE WORK PLANS
3.1 Prepares own work plan annually in consultation with OD Manager to ensure that work is done according to schedule.
3.2 Approves the annual work plan of staff under your supervision to ensure that work is geared towards departmental objectives.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Masters’ Degree in Organisational Development/ Human Resources Management/ Industrial Psychology/ Business Administration/Management with a major in Human Resources plus two (2) years’ experience in Organisational Development /Human Resource field.
OR
Post graduate Diploma in Organisational Development/ Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration/Management plus three (3) year experience in Organisational Development /Human Resource field.
OR
Bachelors’ Degree in Organisational Development/ Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration/Management plus five (5) year experience in Organisational Development /Human Resource field.
