JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of senior Performance management officer the incumbent is responsible for collating of performance information, reporting and maintaining a database on performance of ministries

MAIN DUTIES

  1. Planning
    1.1 Organize departmental planning sessions
    1.2 Undertake training needs assessment in line with challenges met in implementation
    1.3 Recommend appropriate corrective measures
  2. Facilitate implementation of performance management system
    2.1 Organize training workshops to address challenges met in implementation.
    2.2 Actively interact with Training & Development department to ensure PMS training needs are addressed through internal and external training.
    2.3 Organize meetings for Ministerial performance reviews
    2.4 Undertake studies and recommend improvements to PMS policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with the law.
  3. Maintain performance information database
    3.1 Collates, inputs, process and retrieve information and data to develop a database and for regular reporting
    3.2 Produce performance reports and disseminate within agreed timescales
    3.3 To disseminate information of performance issues to all departments including the production of a regular Performance Newsletter
  4. Monitors implementation of the system and policies
    4.1 Assesses progress and identify risks to the achievement of targets and recommend corrective measures
    4.2 Collect collate and undertake initial validation of performance indicator data for monitoring progress

JOB SPECIFICATION
Masters in Human Resources Management/Organisational Development or any other related discipline plus two (2) years working experience in Performance Management monitoring and evaluation field.
OR
Post-graduate Diploma or Honours in Human Resources Management / Organisational Development or any other related discipline plus three (3) years working experience in Performance Management monitoring and evaluation field.
OR
BA Degree in Human Resources Management /Organisational Development or any other related discipline plus five (5) years working experience in Performance Management monitoring and evaluation field.

Other relevant knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of Performance Management
  • Proven skills adapting and applying Performance Management
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and productive working relationships.
