POSITION: PI Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: Digital Transformation (Technical)

REPORTING TO: Head – Digital Transformation

PURPOSE:

To ensure the successful delivery of software projects by coordinating tasks, resources, and stakeholders, managing conflicts and trade-offs, and facilitating effective communication and collaboration among all involved parties.

Key duties/Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all project elements, including tasks, resources, and stakeholders.
  • Manages conflicts, making trade-offs, and evaluating resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Acts as the bridge between product management and development teams.
  • Manages plans, organizes, and directs projects to meet deadlines, budgets, and scope requirements.
  • Gathers and documents project requirements: define the project scope and creates detailed implementation plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management; effectively communicates with architects, developers, product owners, and vendors.
  • Identifies necessary resources and allocates tasks based on team members’ skills and project needs.
  • Hosts daily stand-up meetings, implements Agile methodologies, and ensures team collaboration.
  • Provides regular updates and reports, monitor risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Promotes continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Facilitates training sessions and workshops to enhance project execution and team development.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Certifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM)
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner
  • SAFe Agilist Certification (SAFe)

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Lead/Manager.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering software development projects.
  • Experienced in managing software projects using agile methodologies.
  • Technical background in software development, architecture, or delivery of software solutions will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
