Job title: Plant Supervisor

Purpose of the Job
Manage the plant operations through handling of materials & storage of stock, managing & controlling of the distribution of bulk products to customers, optimizing customer SLA’s & OTIF, managing staff and participation in stock counts to ensure efficient business operations.
What you’ll be doing:
Material & Storage Handling
• Ensure that receipt, storage, and handling is done according to prescribed procedure and standards.
Bulk Products Distribution
• Distribute products to customers as per agreed SLA’s.
• Ensure maximum economical fleet utilization.
Asset Management
• Ensure effective management of assets through optimal utilisation and maintenance as required.
Product Quality
• Ensure that all quality standards and procedures are met as required to ensure compliance and governance.
Staff Supervision
• Manage team and ensure capability development and performance by means of identifying relevant training programs to close the skills gaps and through performance management processes.
HSEQ Compliance
• Ensure that safety standards are maintained in operational area by staff, contracts, and service providers.
• Contribute to investigations and audits.
What you’ll have done before
Baseline
• NQF Level ͏ 6 (Diploma in Logistics/ Supply Chain/ Operations or relevant)
• 3 years’ experience in Plant Operations environment
• Understanding of Operations & Stock L/G
• Experience in HSEQ MS system
• Knowledge of OSH Act, ISO 9002 & SABS
Advantageous
• Plant Supervisory experience
• SAP knowledge and experience
