JOB TITLE: PROCUREMENT MANAGER
GRADE: I
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibility and accountability for the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that the Council’s operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. Responsible for purchasing strategies and processes in accordance with Council’s Financial Regulations as well as Local Government Procurement Procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•B Com Degree in Accounting OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Public Administration.
• Must be a Level 5 Member of The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
• Technician Accountant Level
• Proven experience in a purchasing management role, preferably in a parastatal or private institution
