SOFTGAMES is the leading instant gaming company. We develop casual, truly social games that are played by millions each day. We are now looking for a Game Artist who is passionate about casual games and will be responsible for creating new designs, skins and marketing assets for our new and existing instant games.
You will conceptualize and implement art, game visuals, UI, animations and assets. You embrace technical constraints as an art form not as a limiting restriction. The development cycles in this area are short (3 months or even shorter) so you are able to bring your vision to life in a short period of time. You love working and collaborating closely with others, namely Product Managers and Developers.
You can either work REMOTELY or in our central Berlin office surrounded by a great bunch of people!
**Qualified applicants will be expected to complete a graphics test.
Your role:
- Create concepts, characters, backgrounds and UI for new and existing games – from the concept stage all the way to implementation
- Create high quality marketing assets
- Ensure consistency and quality of the art you produce
- Design UI animations, transitions and visual effects
- Create 2D game art assets and support integration
- Communicate your ideas about improving screen flows and game features from the perspective of the user experience
- Ensure that all the art is delivered to the developers in accordance to the project’s technical requirements
Your profile:
- 2+ years of Graphic Design experience within the Casual Games industry with a portfolio to share
- Experience with Theme and UI Design
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Skilled in high quality visual decision-making and problem solving
- Self-starter, experienced in managing own tasks from concept through completion
- Strong communication skills in English
- Passionate about games, art and working as part of a team
