Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is a USA based Organization with public health programs around the World. It creates a future of hope for children and families worldwide by eradicating pediatric AIDS, providing care and treatment for people with HIV and AIDS, and accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life- threatening pediatric illnesses. EGPAF`s work is funded through private donations, PEPFAR via the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Centre for Disease Control & Prevention CDC), Johnson & Johnson (J&J), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) etc.
POSITION TITLE: Senior Procurement Officer (Re-advertisement)
JOB SUMMARY
Senior Procurement Officer should:
- Obtain competitive bids on high value procurements, quality discounts, and achieves cost savings in accordance with Federal procurement guidelines and exercise flexibility on procurement processes
- Effective monitoring commitments report
- Attend to urgent procurement request from donors
- Processing procurement plan requests
- Effective management of long-term contracts
- Supervision of Procurement Officers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Business Administration/ Supply Chain/ Procurement/ Logistics
- Computer skills, particularly MS office package
EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience of working in drafting contracts and understanding of contract terms
- Significant knowledge of international donors
- Demonstrated 5 years’ experience on procurement activities.
- Professional Qualification in Procurement from recognised and accredited Institution (i.e CIPS) is an added advantage
