The Charging and Billing specialist is responsible for working with teams across the business to ensure the efficient and effective mediation, charging and billing of all customer events as per the official organisation’s Products & Tariffs.
Reports to the Manager, Billing Operations
Job Responsibility
* Create an in-depth understanding of our telecom end-to-end charging and billing processes and procedures.
* Work with relevant departments to determine business requirements, priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and develop Billing strategy.
* Interprets business requirements and determines optimum Billing solutions to meet needs.
* Participate in evaluating future reporting tools and identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the enterprise-wide Billing systems.
* Works with internal and external customers and IT partners to develop and analyse Billing needs.
* Responsible for the configuration of product offerings in primary systems, including OCS and the billing engine (VXview);
* Management of the Mediation System for collections and distribution as per the schedules.
* Responsible for the pro-active identification of any potential gaps in the rating engines and agree alternatives.
